The sample bottles are made of neutral borosilicate and low borosilicate materials, and can be equipped with ordinary PE gaskets or corrosion-resistant Teflon/silicone gaskets to ensure better corrosion resistance and tightness. Sample bottle cap guide:There are three types of caps for sample vials: crimp caps, bayonet caps and screw caps. Each sealing method has its own advantages.
screw cap The screw cap is universal. Tightening the cap will apply a mechanical force that squeezes the septum between the rim of the glass bottle and the aluminum cap. In the process of piercing and sampling, the screw cap has an excellent sealing effect and mechanically resists the septum. No tools are required for assembly. bayonet cover The bayonet cover is an extension of the sealing method of the jaw cover. The plastic cap sleeved on the rim of the sample bottle forms a seal by squeezing the septum between the glass and the stretched plastic cap. The tension of the plastic cover is caused by its attempt to restore its original size. This tension creates a seal between the glass, bottle cap and septum. The plastic bayonet cap can be closed without any tools. The sealing effect of the bayonet cap is not as good as the other two sealing methods. If the fit of the bottle cap is very tight, the cap is difficult to close and may break. If it is too loose, the sealing effect will be poor and the septum may leave its original position. crimp coverThe crimp cap squeezes the septum between the rim of the glass vial and the folded aluminum cap. The sealing effect is very good, which can effectively prevent the sample from evaporating. When the injection needle of the autosampler pierces the sample, the position of the septum remains unchanged. The crimp cap sample bottle needs to be sealed with a capper to complete. For a few samples, a manual capper is a better choice. For a large number of samples, an automatic capper can be used.
